Unusually Large Cats

catLarge cats have been seen in usual places around the world in recent years. The most notable is the Beast of Bodmin Moor in England. In the United States the Ozark Howler is also frequently described as a large cat.

I am not trying to put a damper on people sighting large cat like animals.

Perhaps someone from your organisation should get in touch with people in Australia who investigate feral animals and the like. It is well known and I think has been documented that some cats when they go "feral" do grow to be, over several generations, 2 - 4 times as large as their domesticated relatives.

This may be a line to investigate to allay peoples fears. We have also found that when these cats do go feral they wreak havoc with the small mammallian widlife.
