The Storsjoodjuret or Storsjödjuret is the name of the lake monster that inhabits Lake Storsjön (or Storsjon) in Sweden. It has been seen many times since the 1600s. Despite that, descriptions vary considerably. The monster is usually described as having a long neck with a flatter head. It has been described as being from 10 to 40 feet long. It may be either eel-like or have a rounded body. Recent expeditions to locate the animal have not been successful.
