Stephenie Meyer

Stephenie Meyer is the author of the Twilight Saga, featuring Isabella "Bella" Swan, a teenage girl, and Edward Cullen who is a vampire. Bella's friend Jacob Black is also a main character. Jacob is a member of the Native American Quileute tribe, and like a werewolf can change into a wolf like creature.

While these books are a love story, they do not have "racy" scenes at all until the 4th book, and even those are not explicit.

The Twilight series is mainly set in the rainy town of Forks, Washington.

In an interview with Amazon.com for Twilight, Ms. Meyer said that while she read very little other vampire literature, her favorite was Anne Rice's The Vampire Lestat. She had never read Bram Stoker's Dracula, although she meant to someday. She had never seen an episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer or Angel.

Stephenie Meyer has also written the novel "The Host", which is not a part of the Twilight Saga. The Host is about Earth being invaded by aliens who can each control a human mind.
