The Nahuelito is the name of the lake monster that inhabits Nahuel Huapi Lake in Argentina. Nahuel Huapi Lake lies at the foot of the Patagonian mountains, and covers almost 320 square miles. The monster is usually described as having a long "swan-like" neck, with a wider body. It is between 15 and 150 feet in length. It seems to be physically similar to the Loch Ness Monster, and may potentially be a prehistoric plesiosaur. It has been reported since at least the 1890s, and has been sighted many times. Some Argentineans feel that the monster is a product of nuclear testing done in the 1950s.
