Movies

While mainstream science usually avoids the paranormal, movie studios and television networks have not. Paranormal themed movies have been some of the most popular, award winning, and high grossing ever. High grossing has two meanings for this movie genre, both definitions quite being accurate.

There have been scary movies like "The Exorcist" and "The Blair Witch Project". There have been comedies like "Abbott and Costello meet Frankenstein" and "Ghostbusters". There have been movies from television shows, like "The Twilight Zone", "The X-Files", and "My Favorite Martian". There have been television shows made from movies, like "Buffy the Vampire Slayer". There have been movies from novels, like "Bram Stoker's Dracula", Anne Rice's "Interview With the Vampire", and Stephen "King's Pet Cemetery". See if your favorite paranormal movies are listed below!

There have been a number of movies about mobbing including The Crucible, I Like to Work - Mobbing, Lord of the Flies, and Mean Girls.

Here's a good list

Have there been any movies made about mobbing or gangstalking? There is a lot of information about it on the internet and I wondered if they ever made a movie about it. Thank you.

Is there anyone there who can point me toward info on the "Rankin Cluster Phenomena" and Dr. Jonathan Rankin, as covered in Rod Serling's movie, "Encounter With The Unknown", directed by Harry Thomason? I've been all over the Net, as well as my local library, and they all look at me as if I'm from Mars.

In the movie's intro, it was said that Dr. Rankin had researched, between 1949 and 1970, hundreds of cases of psychic phenomena, and discovered that 453 cases of strange phenomena had occurred to people who were buried in only 23 cemeteries in the US. This apparent clumping or "clustering" of strange things happening, I'm assuming in geographic or populational belts seemed to intrigue Dr. Rankin, and this movie told 3 stories that happened to people buried in just one of the cemeteries.

It's not the clustering, but the stories in Dr. Rankin's research that fascinates me, at least at this stage. Do you have any idea of where I can obtain some reading material on this subject? I would be very appreciative. Thank you.
