Archaeoceti Whale

A prehistoric suborder of whales. The Basilosauridae family of Archaeoceti had a snakelike shape because of an elongation of the back and lumbar vertebrae. Some feel that the Loch Ness Monster in Scotland is actually an Archaeoceti. The Archaeoceti are thought to have died out twenty five million years ago.
