Anne Rice

Best selling American author. Born Howard Allen O'Brien on October 4th, 1941 in New Orleans, Louisiana. Anne Rice was married to artist and poet Stan Rice. Anne Rice has one son, Christopher. Longtime New Orleans resident, Anne moved from New Orleans to San Diego, California in March 2005 (six months before hurricane Katrina struck New Orleans), and then moved out near Palm Springs sometime after that.

Anne's only daughter Michele died of leukemia at age five in 1972. The grief from this experience drove Anne to write her legendary novel "Interview With The Vampire" in only five weeks. Many of Anne Rice's most popular books have centered on vampires, and feature her charismatic vampire creation Lestat. These books have redefined the modern vampire legend.

Many readers have also enjoyed Anne Rice's Witchcraft series "The Witches of Mayfair".

The S&M (Sadism and Masochism) inspired Sleeping Beauty Trilogy are considered classics by some enthusiasts.

Most recently Anne Rice has been focusing on the life of Jesus Christ in her Christ the Lord series, beginning with Christ the Lord : Out of Egypt.

Anne Rice has thrilled audiences with her dark fiction for decades. Her husband, Stan Rice was a critically acclaimed poet. Now, a new voice emerges from the house of Rice. Christopher Rice presents his first novel, A DENSITY OF SOULS.

While Christopher follows in his mother's talented footsteps writing novel length fiction, he also carves a fresh path all his own in this tale of murder and betrayal in New Orleans.

i am a new fan of anne rice and am just starting to read her series but i really want to read things in the right order and i have not been able to figure out that order so far. the books do not necessarily seem to be listed in chronological/story line order. i have checked numerous books and her other novels not only the vampire series/the new vampires series/the mayfair witches/and other novels all seem to be listed differently in the prefaces of each of these novels. can anyone tell me the correct order to approach this from? i'm sure there must be an order or progression i'm supposed to follow wether it be chronological or by story line.

thanks in advance whether you have the answer or not : )
